HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY, SCAN!

On March 6, 2007, Scan celebrates its one year mark.

To date, Scan has helped developers fix 6,132 software defects across 53 open source projects including 13 projects that have fixed all outstanding defects identified by the Scan analysis. Many more projects contacted Coverity asking to be included in the Scan; and hundreds of developers used Scan's analysis to improve their projects, making them more secure, more stable, and more maintainable.

WHAT'S NEXT

Today 100 new projects were added to Scan starting on rung 0 of the new Scan Ladder.

The Scan website has a new look with room for new projects as well as additional information for everyone interested in improving code quality.

Additionally, we’ve added new information about individual projects: See the AMANDA Graph and the Samba Graph for examples of things to come.
